About
DSSЯ™ (Dual-Zone Stabilized Riser) is a patent-pending layout engineered to modernize how today’s best buildings deliver hot water. By introducing a novel stabilization approach at the system architecture level, DSSЯ™ improves system stability, comfort, and overall system resilience.
“I understand systems by understanding their elements.”
Inventor
DSSЯ™ was created by Jennifer L Russo, a systems engineer with more than three decades of operational, architectural, and building-performance experience.
Her investigations into hot-water performance revealed a recurring pattern of instability across both new developments and older buildings.
An early Jersey City residence with a single-riser layout demonstrated the same issues later observed in a brand-new luxury high-rise.
This consistent pattern across different generations of buildings ultimately led to the development of the DSSЯ™ System.
Mission
To elevate the standard of hot-water system design by replacing outdated single-riser configurations with a modern, stability-driven system architecture.
Why It Matters
Temperature instability affects comfort, maintenance operations, and long-term system reliability. DSSЯ™ addresses the root cause — the riser configuration — rather than depending on mechanical add-ons.
